Ingredients
- 1-2 large red onions diced or thinly sliced
- 4-5 garlic cloves crushed
- juice of 1 or 2 large lemons that is then cut into quarters
- 5 Tbsp olive oil
- 1.5 Tbsp ground sumac
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- salt & pepper
- 2.5 lbs chicken bone-in, skin-on (thighs & drumstick) or can use 3-5 chicken breasts sliced
- a bunch of cilantro or parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl make the marinade sauce by mixing: red onion, garlic, lemon, olive oil, sumac, cumin, allspice, cinnamon, salt, pepper.
- Add chicken to large bowl and mix. Cover and let marinade in refrigerator for 1-4 hours.
- After marinading chicken, place chicken and marinade into a large glass baking pan and place in oven at 375F for about 45 mins.
- After chicken is finished cooking, remove from oven & cover with tin foil and a cloth to keep warm.
- Then increase oven heat to 400F and bake naan on cooking sheet for 3-4 minutes.
- Spread out naan on large serving plate and pour chicken and marinade on top.
- Garnish with cilantro or parsley.
