Ingredients
- 6 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 packages (16g or 4.5 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2.25 cups warm water
- a bit less than 1/2 cup olive oil
Instructions
- In a big bowl, mix flour and salt. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, mix yeast and sugar.
- In the medium bowl, add in water and olive oil. Stir and then let sit and bubble for 5-10 minutes.
- Pour wet ingredients into big bowl of dry ingredients. Mix with wooden spoon. When dough has pulled together, knead in bowl or on a flat lightly floured surface for 5-10 minutes. (Add spoonfuls of flour to the mixture when kneading, if dough is too wet or sticky.)
- Place back into large bowl and cover with warm damp cloth. Allow to rise at room temperature for about 1.5 hours.
- Once dough has risen, separate into 3 or 4 equal sized pieces/balls. Each ball of dough will be flattened to make one pizza crust.
- Place baking paper on pizza pan and then shape pizza dough to make the pizza crust.
- Then pre-bake the dough in oven at 425F for about 5 mins until reaching a light golden brown color.
- Once dough is pre-baked, garnish pizza with sauce and toppings.
- Bake in oven at 425F for about 8-10 mins.
